Instructions for planting and caring for plants
Origin and advantages of seed varieties
- Japanese F1 dwarf okra seeds, dark green and bright, pentagonal shape, 10 - 15cm long, straight with little curvature
Advantages of the breed:
- High yield, continuous fruiting rate, strong disease resistance.
- Beautiful green color, long preservation time.
- The fruit is soft and hard to ripen when young
- The super dwarf tree has fruit and has extremely high productivity
- Planting distance: 1-1.2m between rows, 50-60cm between plants.
- Harvest: 30 - 50 days after sowing
- Amount of seeds planted/1000m2: 2000 seeds
- Season: Planted all year round, the main crop is winter-spring
Step 1: Sow seeds
- Incubate okra seeds before sowing. Mix warm water (2 parts boiling water + 3 parts cold water), put the seeds in and soak for 2 - 3 hours, take them out and rinse with clean water to remove all the slime still clinging to the seeds.
- Sow the seeds directly into the soil, then water just enough to moisten them, use your hand to make holes 1cm deep and put the seeds in. After 2-3 days the seeds germinate
Step 2: Fertilize after germination
- Fertilization: Fertilizer used for okra is mainly decomposed manure for large planting areas. If you grow at home, you can use organic fertilizer and microbial fertilizer to fertilize for very good results
Step 3: Water and care
- Water the plant every day in the morning and late afternoon.
- When the okra grows tassels, start supporting the plant.
- Flowering plants must be watered sufficiently at the base, do not use a hose to spray directly on the flowers (this will cause the flowers and young fruits to fall).
- Prune the branches and branches, when the tree has fruit, prune the male flowers so that the tree can focus on growing fruit.
